Computer Training
Training
To get the best from your computer, give yourself a kick start by learning how to use the word-processing, emailing, Internet and spreadsheets software you have. I can also teach you how to use digital cameras and photo editing programs.
If you do not have any software then let me know and I will bring along open-source (free to use!) programs that will give you all that you need. These are programs that are available to the public for non-commercial use. They are yours to keep! I can provide training in all the products listed below.
Don't be afraid to call if you only want an hour or two to get started in using your own home computer. I specialise in teaching novices and have been able to teach adults who had never touched a computer to go on to succeed in getting recognised qualifications. I have presented PC training on behalf of Kent Adult Education, Manchester College and Action for Employment (A4E ). Age is not a barrier to learning computer skills. Most of my clients are retired first time users wanting to use a computer to keep in touch with family and friends. Many find that they have unwittingly discovered a new hobby!
On average someone who has never used a computer before will need 2 or 3 lessons to get confident in the basics. You will then find that you quickly make progress under your own steam. Most training sessions last for 1 - 1 ½ hours and will cost around £25 - £35.
